Fourply, the facilities management company, already use an iportprofessional portal integrated into their ServicePro software for the management of customer proposals and service performance statistics for their key clients. Large customers such as the Boots Chemist group can log into the iport portal and view progress on individual jobs or review performance overall.
The Fourply team, however, were relying on individual Microsoft Outlook contact folders to store key information and contact details about sub-contractors. This meant that each team member had different address books; data was fragmented, duplications rife and staff spent too much time looking for key details.
"iportinstant gave us a really fast way to create a sub contractor database that was available to all of our team wherever they are without the need to make any significant changes to the iportprofessional system we currently use" said Alan Morris, Managing Director at Fourply. "It gave us the opportunity to prove the concept of a centralised contact management system at an extremely low cost of $50 per month. Everyone knows that getting people to use these contact systems is the key to success This is much more effective than spending a lot of money on desktop software that may never be adopted by everyone" he concludes.
Once the system has been rolled out, the intention is to expand the contact information contained in the system to cover all contacts and then import all of the data into the iportprofessional core system.
